Poonamdeep Kaur assumes charge as DC Faridkot

 

Providing good administrative services to residents is a top priority: DC

Faridkot, February 25, 2025:Poonamdeep Kaur, a senior IAS officer from the 2013 batch, took over as the Deputy Commissioner of Faridkot today. Previously, she served as Deputy Commissioner of Fatehgarh Sahib and Barnala Districts.

She was welcomed by a large number of officers, including Dr Pragya Jain SSP and was given a guard of honour by a police contingent.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Poonamdeep Kaur expressed gratitude to the Punjab Government for the opportunity to serve the historical District Faridkot, belonging to Baba Farid Ji. She emphasized providing time-bound government services, expediting development works, and ensuring transparency and speed in governance.

Poonamdeep Kaur appealed to residents of the district to cooperate with the district administration. Later, she paid obeisance at Gurdwara Tilla Baba Farid and was honoured with a ‘Siropa’ by the managing committee.

Present on the occasion were Additional Deputy Commissioner Narbhinder Singh Grewal, SDM Kotkapura Varinder Singh, Assistant Commissioner (H) Tushita Gulati, DRO Lovepreet Kaur, PA Gurnam Singh, and other officers.
